The Nintendo GameCube is the fourth (not counting the Game Boys) in a series of game consoles released by Nintendo.
The Nintendo GameCube was released in the Netherlands and Belgium on May 3, 2002. It was the successor to the Nintendo 64 and offered better graphics. Unlike previous Nintendo consoles, the GameCube no longer worked with game cartridges, but with memory sticks in the console and small DVD discs. This allowed a game to be considerably larger, but sometimes had to wait for the game to load.
