The Game Boy Advance (often abbreviated to GBA, when it was still in development it was called Project Atlantis) is a handheld game console from Nintendo introduced in 2001. The Game Boy Advance is the successor to the Game Boy Color. It was the first handheld with a 32-bit processor. In 2003, an updated version, the Game Boy Advance SP, was released. In 2005, Nintendo introduced a greatly scaled-down version called Game Boy Micro.
