The unique team air combat simulation reaches the speed of sound with Ace Combat 5: Squadron Leader, the latest addition to the series. As expected from Namco's perfectionist designers, the game features over fifty super-realistic aircraft, from the A-10 Tankbuster to the Su27 Flanker, all beautifully rendered.
Namco has also spared no expense to ensure that not only the appearance, but also the sound of the aircraft is reproduced realistically. They actually made live recordings of every aircraft. The environment around the aircraft has also been graphically improved enormously.
