The Videopac G7000 is a game console that was launched by Philips in 1978.
Like competing systems, the most important of which was the Atari 2600, the Videopac system consisted of a game console and individual cartridges containing the games. The game console was connected to the television, although variants were also available with a built-in black-and-white screen, the N60 and G7200. A special feature of the Videopac was that it was the only game console to have a keyboard. Partly for this reason, Philips praised the device as the most advanced game console. However, the game's image quality lagged behind competing systems. In addition, the number of games available was very limited compared to other systems. About sixty games were released for the Videopac, while more than 450 games were released for the Atari 2600. With a modified version, the Videopac+ G7400, Philips tried to maintain its market share.
Videopac was also released under other names in a number of other countries, such as Radiola Jet 25 in France and Magnavox Odyssey 2 in the United States.
